Construction Laborer - Ann Arbor, MISeeking a construction laborer to support demolition and cleanup activities on commercial building projects, with a strong focus on school renovation work during the summer. This role involves removing building components, handling and disposing of materials, and maintaining a clean and safe work area across multiple job sites.ResponsibilitiesPerform demolition work in commercial buildings, including removing walls, ceilings, floors, studs, doors, windows, and mechanical systems as directed.Carry, load, and dispose of construction debris and materials into dumpsters throughout the workday.Use hand tools, shovels, and brooms to break down materials, clear debris, and keep work areas clean and organized.Work safely and efficiently in hot conditions and in active construction environments.Remain on your feet and stay productive throughout the shift, completing assigned tasks in a timely manner.Travel reliably to different project sites as required, including school projects scheduled for the summer.Follow all site safety rules, wear required personal protective equipment, and report any hazards or incidents promptly.Support foremen and lead workers by following instructions and assisting with additional labor tasks as needed.Essential Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience in construction, demolition, or general labor is helpful but not required if you can meet the physical demands.Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.Comfort performing continuous manual labor and demolition tasks.Ability to work on your feet all day and stay consistently busy.Experience using basic hand tools, shovels, and brooms in a construction or labor setting.Reliable transportation to travel to various job sites.Ownership of steel toe boots suitable for construction environments.Why Work Here?You will join a team that values hard work, reliability, and growth from within. Conditions can be hot and physically demanding, with frequent lifting, carrying, and standing throughout the day. Typical hours of Monday through Friday from either 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. You will work around construction debris, dumpsters, and active demolition areas, using basic hand tools, shovels, and brooms. Steel toe boots and appropriate work attire are required to ensure safety on site.Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Ann Arbor, MI.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $18.00/hr.
