Bloomington Transit offers a supportive work environment, paid training, and opportunities for advancement.ResponsibilitiesSafely operate transit buses along designated routes and schedulesProvide excellent customer service to passengers, including assisting with boarding and answering questionsMaintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all timesConduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and cleanlinessFollow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policiesReport any incidents, accidents, or mechanical issues promptlyWork varying days and hours, including weekends, as required by the scheduleQualificationsMust be at least 21 years of age (as required by state law)Ability to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger endorsement (paid training provided)Willingness to undergo pre-employment and random drug/alcohol screening, BMV license check, and criminal background checkGood driving recordFluency in EnglishStrong commitment to safety and customer serviceNo previous bus driving experience requiredCompensationStarting training wage: $20.59 per hour, with progressive increases up to $30.28 per hour.BenefitsPaid training program to help you earn your CDL with passenger endorsementOpportunities for career advancement within Bloomington TransitSupportive team environment
