The facility offers comprehensive gastroenterology services as part of their specialty care program and maintains a Level 3 trauma designation, providing essential medical services to the region.Opportunity:Physician - Internal Medicine - GastroenterologyJob Details:Permanent position with recently increased rates (as of 11.1.23)Perform upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, and injection of varicesConduct procedures with PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy)Perform esophageal dilatation/manometry proceduresComplete small bowel biopsies as requiredConduct lower GI endoscopy procedures including flexible sigmoidoscopyPerform colonoscopy with biopsy and excision of polypExperience with endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) requiredBoard certification required with current BLS certificationFellowship trained with 0-1 patient encounters per shiftCredentialing timeframe approximately 60-90 daysPosition starts ASAP with ongoing durationCompensation:Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
