Description:JOB DESCRIPTION FOR CERTIFIED NURSE AIDEQUALIFICATIONS:Has completed training and competency evaluation program or a competency evaluation approved by the State and holds a current certificate from the State.Must be enrolled in a competency training program approved by the State and performs only services of a type for which s/he has demonstrated competence.Personality attuned to the requirements of meeting needs of the infirm and aged.Demonstrates competency in skills and techniques necessary to care for resident's needs as identified through Resident Assessment and described in the Plan of Care. RESPONSIBILITIES:Working under general direction and supervision of charge nursehandling and serving residents to assure safety and comfortObserving instructions of nursing staff and performing in line with established routineProviding maximum resident care services to assure well being of resident to the greatest degree possible Carrying out duties and responsibilities in conformance with established routineWORK PERFORMED:Under supervision to perform duties assuring maximum care, security and treatment:Assist with carrying out the Resident Assessment and Plan of CareAssuring physical comfort and mental well being of residentAssist in customary daily requirements and tasks in care and treatment such as bathing, feeding, dressing, observing intake of food, care of hair, nails, and moving residents from area to area, responding to calls, etc.Observing and reporting symptoms, reactions, and changesEncouraging and participating in rehabilitative measuresJOB KNOWLEDGE:Knowledge of procedures and techniquesProviding bedside servicesFamiliarity with functions of various departmentsUnderstanding of standard techniques in personal service care of residentsCare of equipment and suppliesAwareness of sterile procedures and avoidance of contaminationSPECIAL DEMANDS:Work under close supervision with awareness that error may have serious consequencesExercise patience and tactUse of initiative and judgmentWarm, outgoing personality and positive response to residents who may be demandingPerform willingly repetitive tasksGood physical and mental outlook Employee Signature: Date: __________________________________Requirements:PI870eda796340-37483-36101320
