Direct Support Professional

The basic requirements are as follows: Positive attitude and willingness to help others Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance High school diploma or GED Flexible working hours and schedule Willing to successfully complete a criminal background check Willing to obtain a TB test and provide results to Paramount Willing to submit to pre-employment drug screening May have to complete an automobile inspection Direct Support Professional Provide protective oversight to individuals in the home and community Work with individuals to help them acquire life skills and reinforce learning using prescribed methodologies and techniques for instructions Provide transportation for health, business and recreational activities Accompany and assist individuals in accessing community resources and participating in community activities and events Implement personal supports and strategies based on an individual’s plan Complete required reports and other documentation in a timely manner Monitor and report individual’s progress Perform other related duties as required Hours – part time, varies Rate of Pay – Based on experience
