Industrial Power & Controls Electrician (Conveyor Operations)

Role overviewJoin a reliability-focused team maintaining power distribution, controls, and conveyor systems that move coal from rail to vessel. Expect competitive wages, monthly and quarterly bonus opportunities, strong benefits, and a flexible schedule.Core responsibilitiesProvide electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, adjustments, installations, and preventive maintenance.Build/repair control panels; bend conduit; wire 220/480V systems; maintain power distribution.Support AC/DC motors and drives, PLC controls, and sensors (limit and proximity).Install and repair electrical components on industrial machinery in accordance with code, manuals, schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.Apply electrical trade methods and tools, including ladder logic, to reduce downtime.Conduct safety inspections and follow OSHA standards: LOTO, confined space, fall protection, hot work, mobile equipment, and PPE.Cross-train and safely operate loaders, dozers, locomotives, and cranes to facilitate transshipment.Culture & valuesWe operate by the Core Values of Core Natural Resources: Safety, Sustainability & Continuous Improvement.Required QualificationsMinimum 3 years as an industrial electrician in a manufacturing environment.Proficiency with electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.Knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and industrial safety protocols.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills under pressure.Effective verbal and written communication for cross-functional collaboration.Experience with PLCs and ladder logic.Comfort working at heights, outdoors, and in confined spaces.Eligibility to obtain and hold a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC).Ability to work overtime and rotating shifts, including nights, holidays, and weekends.PreferredJourneyman or Master Electrician licensure.Proficiency areasPLC troubleshootingPreventive maintenance planning and executionHeavy equipment repairElectrical troubleshootingManufacturing environment experienceTechnology you’ll useProgrammable Logic Controllers (PLC)
