CVL Venture LabsTitle: Project Manager – Space, Defense & Security Accelerator OperationsCompensation: $150,000 – $300,000Location: Hybrid (Remote & In-Person) / McLean & D.C.OverviewCVL Venture Labs is seeking a highly organized and execution-focused Project Manager to support operational coordination across its Space, Defense & Security Accelerator program and affiliated portfolio companies.This role will serve as a strategic liaison between accelerator leadership, portfolio founders, program operators, and external stakeholders, with emphasis on aerospace, defense, AI, security, and emerging technology initiatives operating within the accelerator ecosystem.Reporting directly to senior leadership, the Project Manager will coordinate communications, timelines, deliverables, founder support, and operational alignment across multiple teams and venture initiatives.This position is designed for someone comfortable operating in fast-moving environments where execution, adaptability, and cross-functional coordination are essential.This is an opportunity to work alongside leadership helping scale next-generation defense, aerospace, AI, and national-security-focused ventures through operational oversight and accelerator program management.CVL Venture LabsCVL Venture Labs is a venture studio and accelerator platform focused on building and supporting companies across defense, aerospace, AI, security, and frontier technology sectors.Through its Space, Defense & Security Accelerator, CVL supports early-stage and growth-stage ventures developing technologies aligned with national security, advanced infrastructure, aerospace systems, cyber defense, artificial intelligence, autonomy, and emerging dual-use applications.Working closely with operators, advisors, investors, and strategic partners, CVL helps accelerate the growth of mission-driven companies operating at the forefront of technological innovation.Position DescriptionAs Project Manager – Space, Defense & Security Accelerator Operations, you will act as a central coordination node across CVL Venture Labs’ accelerator platform and portfolio ecosystem.Your primary responsibility will be maintaining operational continuity across accelerator initiatives, portfolio companies, and internal leadership teams while ensuring projects, communications, and strategic objectives remain aligned and moving efficiently.You will support accelerator coordination, founder communications, internal briefings, deployment tracking, milestone reporting, and interdepartmental operations tied to the Space, Defense & Security Accelerator program. The ideal candidate is highly organized, operationally minded, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining professionalism, discretion, and execution discipline.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate communication and operational alignment across CVL accelerator initiatives and portfolio companiesSupport project management across aerospace, defense, AI, security, and frontier technology programs tied to the Space, Defense & Security AcceleratorTrack timelines, deliverables, operational updates, and milestone progression across multiple ventures and internal teamsFacilitate internal meetings, founder coordination, briefing preparation, and leadership communicationsMaintain operational continuity between leadership, advisors, operators, founders, and external stakeholdersAssist with strategic planning, scheduling, and execution support for accelerator initiatives and portfolio developmentOrganize reporting structures, workflow systems, task management, and operational processes across departmentsIdentify operational bottlenecks and support rapid problem-solving in high-growth environmentsSupport event coordination, investor briefings, demo days, strategic partner meetings, and accelerator-related engagements when requiredQualificationsExperience in project management, accelerator operations, startup operations, venture environments, or strategic program coordinationStrong organizational, communication, and execution skillsAbility to coordinate across multiple teams and maintain clarity under shifting prioritiesComfortable operating in fast-paced, high-performance environmentsFamiliarity with aerospace, defense, AI, venture operations, or emerging technology ecosystems preferredExperience with project management platforms such as Asana, Notion, Monday, Jira, or similar toolsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with leadership, founders, and technical teamsBackground in operations, venture studios, program management, business operations, or startup ecosystems preferredPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting accelerator programs, venture-backed startups, or emerging technology initiativesFamiliarity with defense, aerospace, national security, or dual-use technology sectorsPrevious coordination experience between technical operators, founders, and executive leadershipPMP, Scrum, operations, startup, or project management certifications are a plusWhat We OfferCompetitive compensation and long-term growth opportunitiesDirect exposure to accelerator operations, venture development, and emerging technology ecosystemsOpportunity to work alongside leadership across defense, aerospace, AI, and frontier technology initiativesA fast-paced operational environment focused on innovation, execution, and strategic growthAbility to help shape operational systems supporting next-generation accelerator and venture platforms
