Day Porter

Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Day Porter to maintain cleanliness and ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in janitorial and custodial services, with a strong focus on commercial cleaning, floor care, and general maintenance. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for clients, employees, and visitors by providing consistent cleaning and upkeep throughout the day. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across various areas of the facility Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and other floor care techniques to ensure a professional appearance Conduct janitorial duties such as restroom sanitation, replenishing supplies, and cleaning common areas Assist with custodial responsibilities for both commercial and residential spaces as needed Support facilities maintenance activities including minor repairs and general upkeep Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use Monitor supply levels and notify management when restocking is necessary Follow safety protocols during all cleaning and maintenance activities to prevent accidents or injuries Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred, especially in commercial or industrial settings Familiarity with floor care techniques such as buffing and polishing is highly desirable Experience in facilities maintenance or general cleaning services is a plus Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively Knowledge of safety procedures related to custodial work is beneficial This position offers an opportunity to be an integral part of maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
