Tempus' proprietary platform connects an entire ecosystem of real-world evidence to deliver real-time, actionable insights to physicians, providing critical information about the right treatments for the right patients, at the right time.What You’ll DoAct as first point of contact for Tempus deliveriesReceive shipments and sign paperwork upon receiptScan and enter packing lists into ERP databaseNotify end-users of packages addressed to themReceives, unpacks, and delivers goods; re-stocks items as necessary within labsAssist in development and maintaining of kanban inventory systemUnload shipments and packages from incoming trucksInspect cartons and contents to ensure they are undamagedVerify received quantities matching the physical count, packing lists & purchase ordersImmediately contact purchasing (or supplier or shipper) if a discrepancy is identified (wrong product, damaged, wrong quantity, etc)Collaborate with lab end users to modify inventory locations as necessaryWork with suppliers as necessary to maintain certificates of insurance for dockCollect Certificates of Quality from suppliers as necessaryResponsible for shipment of outgoing supplies, including returnsProper disposal of cardboard, dry ice and other shipment packing materialsPerform weekly inventory counts and adjust database as neededQualificationsMust have:High School diploma or equivalentThrives in a fast-paced environment; sense of urgencyImpeccable attention to detailAbility to handle time sensitive and critical materialsExcellent organizational skills, communication skills (email, chat & phone) and interpersonal abilities for external providers as well as internal customersContinuous Mobility: Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and squat for extended periods. You will be on your feet for the majority of your shift.Heavy Lifting: Ability to frequently lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and occasionally heavier items with team assistance.Agility: Must possess the physical stamina and endurance to perform fast-paced, physically demanding tasks throughout the day.Highly DesirableProven experience as a receiving and inventory clerk & or similar positionWorking knowledge of computer software & barcoding for entering and maintaining dataExperience with lot-tracked and perishable inventory Experience working with an ERP, WMS, or other major inventory software systemShift: M-F ( ~10:30am-7pm cst)CHI: $20.25/HRThe expected salary range above is applicable if the role is performed from Illinois and may vary for other locations (California, Colorado, New York). Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and experience.
