Payments ManagerHeadquarters - Corinth, TX 76210OverviewPosition Type Full Time Job Shift Day Travel Percentage Hybrid Remote Category BankingDescriptionThe Lead Payments Specialist will be responsible for directing and administering the efforts of the Payments Department. Ensures that established policies and procedures are followed. Ensures that members are promptly and professionally served. Trains, directs, and supervises Payments staff. Assists Payments personal as necessary. Performs miscellaneous clerical duties as required. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice. This position has the potential for remote work based on management discretion. This position works in-office in Corinth, Texas for the first 90 days of employment. After 90 days, there is the potential to work from home on Mondays and Fridays. You will still work in-office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.Key ResponsibilitiesLead daily operations of the Payments Department to ensure timely, accurate processing.Supervise, train, and support Payments staff.Ensure compliance with Credit Union policies and regulatory requirements, including BSA.Implement and maintain Payments procedures and process improvements.Coordinate workflows with other departments and communicate updates to management.Prepare activity reports and recommend operational enhancements.Manage department resources, supplies, and expenses.Maintain a clean, organized work environment and assist with clerical tasks as needed.Maintain reliable attendance and work extended hours when required.What We OfferCompetitive pay based on experienceComprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, 401(k), etc.)Paid time off and company holidaysOpportunities for professional growth and advancementSupportive, collaborative work environmentQualificationsRequired QualificationsAt least 5 years of related experience in a financial institution, with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory or equivalent experienceUnderstanding of payment processes including but not limited to ACH, Bill Pay, Wire Transfers, Drafts, and ITM operationsThorough knowledge of Credit Union services and productsUnderstanding related legal and regulatory requirementsFamiliarity with accounting functions, policies, and proceduresUnderstanding of the Federal Reserve Banking SystemHigh School Diploma or GED certificateCompetenciesExcellent communication skills and willingness to assist othersProfessional appearance, dress, and attitudeGood analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to maintain an effective and efficient workflowStrong communication and telephone skillsWell organized and detail orientedExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to analyze complex financial reports, identify discrepancies, and make recommendations for improvementsAbility to operate related computer applications and business equipmentEqual Opportunity Employer / Veterans / DisabledBilingual a plus.
