Messaging Engineer (SMS/MMS)

Job Description Required Skills & Experience3–7+ years in telecom, messaging, or wireless operations.Strong experience with: SMS/MMS protocols: SMPP , MM7 , SS7 (preferred), Diameter (nice-to-have)Messaging platforms (e.g., OpenMarket, Syniverse, Twilio, or similar)Knowledge of: Routing, delivery receipts, message encoding (GSM, Unicode)Carrier connectivity and interworkingExperience with log analysis and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK, Grafana).Basic scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar) for automation.Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems.Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs).Preferred QualificationsExperience in Tier 2 / Tier 3 telecom support.Exposure to cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform.Knowledge of 4G/5G messaging evolution (RCS is a plus).Experience working with messaging APIs from Twilio or similar providers.ITIL certification or incident management experience.Powered by JazzHRoPcUZ821e5
