Software Test EngineerAustin, TX (remote)Pay From: $110,000 per yearMUST:Experienced SW Test EngineerEligible for level 2 Public Trust10+ years of professional experience with software testing and quality assuranceExperience in both manual and automated testingStrong Python scripting is requiredStrong knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, QTP, LoadRunner)Former track record of working on complex software projects and ensuring high-quality deliverablesExperience in backend testing of web applications, APIs, and servicesUnderstanding of performance testing and tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling)Strong programming skills, often in languages such as Java, Python, or C#Experience with defect tracking and management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla)Knowledge of database and SQL for validating stored dataStrong understanding of risk-based testing, exploratory testing, and context-driven testingExperience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Excellent communication skills both written and verbalHigh attention to detailsStrong problem-solving skills and highly analyticalBachelor s Degree in related DisciplineDUTIES:The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-level software tests to insure proper functionality within client SystemsThis candidate will support various development teams on the project and help develop test plans, test schedules, and approachesConducts a walk through on test case/script with Test Managers, Requirement Leads, Project Managers, and Development LeadsWrites test cases and scripts and identifies data for test scenariosPerforms and leads tests of software and/or IT systems to ensure proper operation and freedom from defectsDocuments and communicates test resultsSupports analysis of test results and resolution of open issuesDocuments and works to resolve all complex problemsReports progress on problem resolution to managementDevises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations.
