Software Developer III [REMOTE within East or Central TZ]

Iteris is looking for a Software Developer III to develop NodeJS, JavaScript, web and database applications that either consume data, act as a web application, or provide an endpoint/API for data access. Must be able to work independently, while also a member of an agile development team.What You Will Be DoingLead software development projectsCreate estimates for software development projectsCollaborating with management, team and customers to identify end-user requirements and specificationsDesigning algorithms and work flows to create new software programs and systemsProducing efficient and elegant code based on requirementsTesting and deploying programs and applicationsTroubleshooting, debugging, maintaining and improving existing softwareCompiling and assessing user feedback to improve software performanceObserving user feedback to recommend improvements to existing software productsDeveloping technical documentation to guide future software development projectsHelp with the Software Development Lifecycle, mentoring, providing assistance and guidanceHelp respond to proposal requests (RFPs, RFIs, etc)Help monitor customer systems and quickly resolve issues as they occurPercentage of travel: 2% - Very infrequent, if at all, less than two weeks a yearWhat You Need To Be Successful In This Role Four (4) year accredited technical degree preferred, or equivalent professional experienceOver four to seven (4-7) years of experience with build NodeJS server applications, responsive web design and programming, JavaScript, TypeScript, Sass, Angular, and a responsive framework such as BootstrapExperience with PostgreSQL, MySQL or other SQL databasesDesign and implementation of APIs and/or EndpointsMust reside in the Continental USA. Preferably East or Central time zones.Experience with database schema design, ingesting data and database access layersExperience implementing map based web sites using MapBox, Google Maps, Apple Maps, and/or HERENative Mobile iOS and/or Android app development in Swift, Kotlin and/or JavaPython scripting languageGit version control systemAmazon Web Services experience:Linux EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Amazon Connect, Amazon Lex, Amazon PollyExperience with:NGINX, Docker, Ansible, Grafana, Prometheus, Jira, Confluence, ScrumIteris anticipates paying a base salary between $109,500 and $121,900 for this role.
