R&D Technician

Job Title: R&D Technician IIIDuration: 12+ Months (Possible temp to hire)Location: Valencia, CA 91355Onsite Role Responsibilities:Works independently to assist R&D engineers, scientists, and/or teams in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment.Develop concepts and accordingly construct prototypes/products from concepts.Utilize basic mechanical drawing or CAD software (SolidWorks) to document prototypes and fixtures.Explore and propose creative solutions based on solid rationales and contribute to design and process concepts.Organize, coordinate, and execute building and testing of prototypes/products per engineering instructions.Assist project teams in establishing specifications and quality standards.Use internal resources and qualified external vendors to assist engineering teams to identify and obtain supplies and services.Act as a resource to other employees.Communicate project status to project teams.Education/Experience:AA Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline and 3 years of related experience.Basic assembly experience, cables, fixturesElectrical capabilitiesSolidWorks experience is preferredExperience reading schematics, is preferred
