Japanese Bilingual Field Application Engineer - Semiconductor Materials

This role is a critical technical interface providing expert support to world-class semiconductor manufacturers (Major IDMs) to ensure optimal performance of advanced chemical materials. Salary: 90-150K Location: Hillsboro, OR area 【Responsibilities】 Provide technical service and engineering support at major customer manufacturing sites (e.g., Intel, Micron, etc.). On-site Support & Travel: Visit customer fabrication facilities (including Cleanroom environments) for material evaluation, process optimization, and troubleshooting. Remote Technical Analysis: Perform data analysis, prepare technical reports, and conduct virtual meetings with both customers and the R&D team in Japan from your home office. Troubleshooting: Provide rapid response to technical issues and coordinate root cause analysis. Strategic Collaboration: Partner with customer process engineers on next-generation technology roadmaps. 【Work Style: Remote / Hybrid】 On-site Requirements: As this is a field-based role, regular travel to customer sites is required based on project needs and urgent troubleshooting requests. 【Requirements】 Language Skills: Japanese: Business level or higher (Required for deep technical discussions with R&D and manufacturing teams in Japan). English: Business level or higher (Required for customer negotiations and technical reporting). Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field. Experience: 2+ years of experience in Technical Service, FAE, or Process Engineering within the semiconductor industry. Technical Skills: Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes (Lithography, Packaging, etc.) and a proactive, autonomous mindset.
