We offer customized, individualized rehabilitation tailored to the specific needs of those recovering from a stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.Baptist Memorial Rehabilitation Hospital - Germantown strives to maximize the health, function, and quality of life of those we serve through comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs.How you'll contribute* Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.* Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.* Provides patient and family teaching throughout the rehabilitation stay and prior to discharge.* Provides care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.* Works cooperatively and actively participates with other members of the interdisciplinary teamWhat We're Looking ForThe Wound Care Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering specialized wound care services, including patient assessment, direct care, clinical staff education, and family instruction to ensure effective treatment outcomes and support rehabilitation goals.Essential FunctionsPerform patient assessments to identify wound care needs and appropriate interventions.Evaluate patient progress and wound healing outcomes, adjusting care plans as needed.Initiate and implement nursing interventions tailored to the patient's condition.Provide direct wound care based on patient condition and age-specific needs.Educate patients and families on wound care procedures, prevention strategies, and discharge instructions.Provide clinical staff education related to wound care treatment plans, procedures, and best practices.Perform other duties as assigned.Additional InformationRequires strong assessment, planning, and communication skills.Must be able to collaborate across disciplines to ensure continuity of care.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.Qualifications and requirements:Education: Graduate of an accredited Wound Ostomy Care Nurse program.Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in wound care required.License: Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required; ACLS preferred; WOCN certification preferred.Why Join Baptist Memorial Rehabilitation Hospital - GermantownFundamental to providing great care is supporting and rewarding our team.
