Mechanical Engineer – Industrial HVACWe are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with a specialization in industrial HVAC systems to support complex engineering projects across chemical, manufacturing, and industrial sectors. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading HVAC design efforts, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.Core ResponsibilitiesLead and execute HVAC engineering and design for industrial facilitiesDevelop system layouts, perform load calculations, and size/select equipmentDesign process ventilation and pressurization systems for hazardous/classified environmentsPrepare detailed engineering drawings and technical specificationsConduct field investigations, site verifications, and as-built validationsCollaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and clientsSupport project planning through cost estimation and design development across project phasesPreferred Additional ExpertiseDust collection and control system design (including combustible dust applications)Plumbing systems design (potable water, wastewater, stormwater, and process systems)Fire protection system evaluation and coverage planningRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related disciplineEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; PE preferred or in progressStrong knowledge of industry codes and standards (NFPA, ASHRAE, OSHA)Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit and Navisworks is a plusAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesAdditional RequirementsAuthorization to work in the United States without sponsorshipWillingness to work in a hybrid on-site environment and travel as neededValid driver's licenseAbility to pass background and drug screeningStrong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skillsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary with overtime eligibilityMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement planPaid maternity leaveTuition assistance and professional development supportDisability insuranceRelocation assistance and sign-on bonus (if eligible)Location: Akron, Ohio (Hybrid – minimum 3 days/week on-site)Work Type: Hybrid (On-site collaboration required; no remote option)Experience Required: 5+ years (Industrial HVAC experience strongly preferred)Job Type: Full-time, Direct HireCompensation: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
