Details Hospital-based pediatric float pool position covering all children's acute care units Float units include surgical, behavioral health, medical specialty (GI, neuro, respiratory), hematology/oncology, step-down, and cardiac pediatrics May float to NICU for low-acuity feeder/grower patients only — not traditional NICU assignments Night shift schedule working 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week) Weekend and holiday coverage required Charting experience and basic computer skills expected Requirements Active RN license (Oklahoma state license or eNLC compact license) currently in hand Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required Level 1 Trauma experience required Experience with trach care, high-flow oxygen therapy, and infusion required Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Additional Information Responsible for managing an assigned group of pediatric patients, including monitoring physiological data, administering medications, and initiating and regulating IV infusions and blood products Collaborates with physicians during patient exams and minor diagnostic procedures Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and changes in physician orders Educates patients and families on care plans and hospital procedures, including discharge planning Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate BSN is preferred but not required Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may complete one extension for a maximum of 26 weeks total, after which a 6-month separation period is required before reapplying Compliance with onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, medical requirements) must be completed promptly — the facility does not negotiate start dates and will not accommodate non-compliant travelers American Traveler Job ID P-688855.
