DescriptionPWS Title: Engineer InstructorLocation: San DiegoClearance Type: SecretRoles And ResponsibilitiesTeach students in small craft systems including propulsion, fuel, electrical, and damage controlConduct hands-on instruction and classroom sessions focused on MK VI engineering systemsTroubleshoot mechanical issues during training evolutionsEnsure safety procedures and operational protocols are followedMaintain instructional materials and contribute to curriculum developmentQualificationsRequired Qualifications: Active state driver’s licenseFour (4) years of small boat/craft tactical experience in a maritime environment with proficiency in: Maritime Navigation, Tactical Boat Operations, and Military decision-making processes (Begin, Arrange, Make, Complete, Issue, Supervise (BAMCIS); Organizational and individual planning; Tactical Boat Patrol Coordination; Development and issuance of Concept of Operations, Warning Order, Patrol Order, and Mission DebriefingQualified Navy Second Class Swimmer or equivalentLine Coach (LC)/Range Safety Officer (RSO) qualificationsRecord of PQS qualifications in all CORIVFOR weapons and weapon systemsMust possess one of the following:NEC 9502/805A InstructorNEC 9518/A12A Professional Development InstructorCompleted Journeyman Instructor Training (JIT)Experience with tactical planning and maritime operationsFamiliarity with mechanical and electrical schematicsPhysically fit to perform maritime instruction in austere environmentsProficient in Microsoft Office and reading technical schematics
