OverviewJob PurposeICE is seeking a Java Developer to join its Single Sign-on (SSO) Enterprise Service development team. This team builds and maintains the highly distributed, resilient, reliable, and secure SSO ecosystem. We value curiosity, a willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in building software that matters.ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibility is for the implementation and support of the SSO system based on current security standards, customer requirements, and integration needs for numerous applications within and beyond the ICE enterprise. A candidate that succeeds in this team (and at ICE in general) should be collaborative, take ownership of their work, and be open-minded to learn from others and from failures.On the technical side, the ideal candidate should be proficient in Java development, have experience with front-end development using HTML5, JavaScript, CSS & React, and have experience developing or interfacing with relational databases such as Oracle or Postgres. The candidate should be able to communicate effectively and maintain good transparency on project status, and is expected to interact with clients, quality assurance, and project/product management.Knowledge And ExperienceBachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science with 3+ years of Java development experience, or master’s degree with 1+ years of Java development experienceExposure to design and system architecture conceptsFamiliarity with common design and architectural principlesStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environmentAbility to work with moderate supervision and under pressureGood communication skillsExperience with web-based development using HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, React/Redux and NodeJSCore Java/Java collectionsRelational databasesPerformance tuning, debugging, and memory profilingUnit, integration, and end-to-end testsKnowledge of UNIX command and toolsFamiliarity with SSO standards such as SAML/OAuth/OpenID ConnectModern browser cookie management and debugging experiencePreferred Knowledge And ExperienceFinancial services experienceExperience with KafkaMulti-threaded server-side development and Java concurrencyCross-browser development and troubleshooting experienceIntercontinental Exchange, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
