KENT Nutrition, a member of the KENT WORLDWIDE family of companies has an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Machine Operator at our Sheldon, IA plant! The Operator will perform routine tasks related to the feed production including quality control, ingredient and feed processing, manufacturing and load out, ingredient receiving and storage, equipment maintenance and housekeeping. The Machine Operator must possess a strong work ethic, customer focused, hardworking and desire to work as a team member. This is a Night Shift (6:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.), hourly position that has the opportunity for growth, and comes with a complete benefit package!This position is designed and intended to be performed in Sheldon, IA.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Daily operation of equipment to process and manufacture feed productsOperate the bagger, sewing machine, forklift and all feed manufacturing equipment safely and efficientlyFollow warehouse and loading protocolsEnsure KNG's quality assurance is met regarding ingredient receiving, load-out, and baggingRecord and document all feed manufactured during shiftMix and prepare livestock feeds efficiently assuring accuracy and high qualityAssist management with production scheduling, inventory planning & control for both ingredients and finished productsAssist with equipment maintenance and repair as neededLoad and unload trucks in a safe and efficient mannerProvide excellent customer serviceObserve and enforce all company policies & proceduresPerform general work around the facility and other duties as assignedMaintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulationsOther duties as assigned by Plant ManagementEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:High School diploma or GED1 plus years of manufacturing experienceFarming background a plusMechanical aptitude preferredOTHER QUALIFICATIONS:Basic computer knowledgeGood communication, verbal, written and math skillsAble to effectively communication with customers, co-workers and customersAbility to work as a team memberThorough understanding of cGMP'sKnowledge of OSHA safety requirements, HACCP Feed & Safety Plan, and FSMAAbility to lift a minimum of 55 lbs. from floor to working height as job requiresAbility to operate a forkliftAbility to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperaturesAbility to pass pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background checkEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
