Brief DescriptionThe Red Gate Group is seeking a Software Architect (JavaScript) to support the Manpower Management Office (MMO) within the Office of the Director of Administration and Management. Successful candidates will provide direct support to the Director, MMO government AOs and SMEs.ResponsibilitiesArchitect end-to-end JavaScript-based Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions supporting multiple usersDesign scalable architectures that integrate with existing DoW business systemsDevelop architectural roadmaps aligning technology investments with the Business Capability Acquisition Cycle (BCAC) phasesGuide cross-functional teams through solution design, development, and deployment actionsEstablish coding standards and best practices for JavaScript developmentDrive adoption of modern development methodologies including DevSecOps and Agile frameworksCreate technical roadmaps that balance immediate operational needs with long-term modernization goalsEvaluate and select JavaScript frameworks based on security requirements and internal standardsSupport acquisition milestone decisions with comprehensive system architecture and risk assessmentsDesign and implement API getaway architectures to integrate siloed and disparate systems for seamless interoperabilityEvaluate commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) and government-off-the-shelf (GOTS) solutions against custom development optionsDesign and implement continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines that identify issues before they reach productionTranslate business capability requirements into implementable technical specificationsDesign event-driven architectures using message brokers for real-time data synchronization, leveraging appropriate architectural patterns.Model workforce data relationships in JavaScript for organizational structures and associated business rulesDemonstrate knowledge of open-source and emerging technologies, their applicability to government services and potential impactQualificationsRequired QualificationsSecret clearance requiredBachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field8+ years of hands on-experience with JavaScript frameworks8+ years of experience of building custom HR systemsDeep understanding of DoDI 5000.75 and Architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman, or DoDAF)Proven experience in leadership, communication, problem-solving, collaboration, adaptability, and critical thinkingPreferred QualificationsDeep knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies spanning traditional waterfall and Agile frameworks, with hands-on experience in analysis, design, development, testing, and continuous deliveryProfessionalism, tact, and experience working with senior DoW leadershipAbility to provide on-site support in the NCR, Monday through FridayCertification in one or more industry cloud certifications (AWS SA-Professional, AZ-305, VMware VCIX-NV, or OCI Architect Professional)Experience with multiple programming languages and frameworks (e.g., JavaScript, Python, and .NET)Knowledge or experience with government systems interoperability and data sharingSummaryCompany DescriptionThe Red Gate Group, founded in 2006, is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Company based in Chantilly, VA.
