Job DescriptionJob Title: Software Asset Management LeadClient: Health Care IndustryDuration: 12 MonthsLocation: Baltimore, Maryland 21224Job Description:The Software Asset Management Lead will oversee the end-to-end software asset management processes within the IT organization. This role involves collaborating with the ITSM Manager, Software Asset Management Process Owner, and IT stakeholders to implement and manage best practices, processes, standards, and policies. The lead will guide the organization to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and IT operations goals, develop strategic priorities, and direct Software Asset Management and ITSM initiatives. The role demands expertise in Software Asset processes, methodologies, and tools, including ServiceNow.Minimum Work Experience:3+ years of experience in Software Asset Management Support or a Leadership Role within IT operations, managed services, or service delivery environments. Experience with ServiceNow Software Asset Management Professional (SAMPro). Qualifications:Process Lead:Establish and manage systematic processes for Software Asset Management. Develop organizational expertise in SAM processes and methods. Coordinate and manage the full lifecycle of software assets in a high interoperability IT environment. Empower stakeholders to utilize and leverage software asset processes. Maintenance:Provide technical support and resolve issues related to data analytics, policy, processes, standards, and best practices in Software Asset Management. Communication:Build partnerships with data analytics consumers to understand business needs. Train on reports, dashboards, policies, processes, and best practices. Key Responsibilities:Process Ownership and Management:Define, implement, and manage SAM processes in line with industry best practices and organizational policies. Ensure consistent execution and continuously improve the SAM process. Software Compliance and Governance:Maintain software license compliance and minimize compliance risks. Develop and enforce software usage policies, procedures, and standards. Software Inventory and Lifecycle Management:Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of software assets. Oversee the entire lifecycle of software assets from acquisition to disposal. Vendor and Contract Management:Manage relationships with software vendors and service providers. Develop processes and insights into contracts, both new and existing. Financial Management:Analyze software asset expenditures and identify opportunities for cost savings and optimization. Reporting and Analytics:Generate regular reports on software asset status, compliance, and financial metrics. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on data analysis. Minimum Formal Education Required:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Management, Accounting, Finance, Process Improvement, or a similar field, or equivalent job experience. Certifications:Required:ITIL 3 or 4 Certification (preferred) or equivalent experience. Preferred:ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) Software Asset ManagementServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)Top 5 Required Skills:ITIL and ITSM ProcessesKnowledge and experience of end-to-end Asset Management processesCommunication and CollaborationProblem Solving and TroubleshootingServiceNow SAMPro, general platform knowledge (foundational)Additional Requirements:Immediate disclosure of any debarment, exclusion, or event affecting eligibility for Federal health care programs.
