Henry Ford Home Health Care's services are provided by qualified registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified wound, ostomy and continence nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech - language pathologists, medical social workers, dietitians, and home health aides.General SummaryUnder the supervision of the site Team Leader or Supervisor, the Occupational Therapist:Performs OT evaluation and treatment patient care duties as appropriate.Communicates effectively with patients, coworkers, physicians and other system employees as needed regarding patient care needs and adequately documents all aspects of patient care.Supervises/delegates to Assistant, and tech as appropriate.Completes necessary and accurate patient billing information.EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS* Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.* Master's Degree, preferred.LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS* Current State of Michigan Registration and National board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification.WORKING CONDITIONS* Patient care setting with potential exposure to communicable disease.* Limited noise, temperature fluctuation and dust are possible.Additional InformationOrganization: Community Care ServicesDepartment: HHC OCC Therapist - OFPShift: Day JobUnion Code: Not Applicable
