We offer an alternative work schedule and the opportunity to work with a talented and diverse group of professionals.RequirementsJob SummaryResponsible for preparing agreements in accordance with federal regulations to support international business initiatives, including: employment of foreign persons, manufacturing abroad, and sourcing and development relationships with foreign entities. Supports government contracting efforts including proposal preparation, fact finding, order entry, contract change control process and overall contract administration.Key ResponsibilitiesTrade Compliance:Act as a subject matter expert responsible for the effective and compliant execution of the business export programSecures licenses, audits shipments and trains staff to ensure compliance with federal regulations.Interprets governmental responses and provides guidance to stakeholders.Manage international agreements and licensesOversees and provides guidance for International travelIdentifies and mitigates risks related to trade, including restricted party screenings and country-of-origin validation. Attend Global Trade University Training and other external third-party import/export training seminars, as requiredMonitors changing trade laws, conducts internal audits and executes corrective actions.Track and report daily and monthly trade compliance metrics.Contracts Administration:Maintains an in-depth familiarity with all details of assigned contracts, including cost, price, delivery/milestone commitments, payment terms, intellectual property, profit/fee, change status and restrictive clauses. Responsible for proposal preparation, and contract administration of assigned contracts/programs. Supports Senior Contracts Specialist with reviewing customer RFQs and contract T&Cs. Identifies contractual issues; analyzes impact & ramifications; and evaluates and recommends alternative solutions consistent with company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, and sound business judgment. Supports maintenance of the official repository for all contractual documentation and correspondence relative to assigned contracts. Provides proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.Maintains historical information for assigned contracts.Other duties as assignedRequired CapabilitiesU.S. Citizenship required In depth knowledge of FAR/DFAR’s/ITAR and Trade Compliance lawsExperience with trade compliance requirements for DoD manufacturing entitiesExperience with proposal and contract preparation for domestic and international DoD contractsAbility to obtain a U.S. Government ClearanceDemonstrated ability to work with and maintain confidential informationStrong project management skills and multitasking abilitiesExcellent communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skillsProficiency in MS Office SuiteProblem-solving and decision-making capabilitiesSelf-motivation and high attention to detailAble and willing to take on new projects and learn additional aspects of the operation.Ability to work efficiently under pressure and to tight deadlines.Ability to work additional hours, evenings and weekends, to meet customer commitments and business needs.Education / ExperienceBachelor’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 4 years of prior related trade compliance / contracts administration experience.Minimum 2 years’ experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), US Customs regulations and other participating government agencies (i.e. FDA, FCC, ATF).Minimum 2 years’ experience with export product knowledge in dealing with overseas products and/or technical data.Minimum 2 years’ experience with experience working with freight forwarders and customs brokers.2+ years of experience with contracts administration in a DoD environment including international and commercial contracts2+ years of experience with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, EAR, & CAS.Experience with OCR EASENothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
