This role plays an important part in keeping operations running efficiently while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSafely load, unload, move, stack, and stage materials using a forklift.Transport materials throughout the warehouse or yard as directed.Perform routine inspections and basic preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.Report equipment defects, damage, or repair needs to a supervisor.Keep equipment clean and in proper working condition.Assist with the installation and maintenance of traffic control devices as needed.Follow all company safety procedures and security standards.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.QualificationsExperience: 1-2 years of forklift operating experience preferred.Certification: Ability to obtain forklift certification.Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry materials weighing 40–50 pounds.Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.Previous production, warehouse, recycling, or manufacturing experience is a plus.Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.About Geomet RecyclingWho is GEOMET Recycling?Our mission is to provide quality metal recycling processing and consolidation services to independent and industrial clients.
