This is more than just a job - it's an opportunity to build the future of beverage distribution and grow with a company that truly cares about its people.OverviewThe Warehouse Worker POS is responsible for organize and issue point of sale materials for the purpose of marketing and merchandising SGWS brands.Primary ResponsibilitiesEstablish and maintain an effective and efficient warehouse and inventory management systemEffectively coordinate the logistical flow of point of sale display and merchandising material from supplier shipments to the Sales Team, including cross-dock locationsEstablish and maintain accurate inventory records using an inventory program (receipts, on-hand, and relief)Develop and maintain a professional business relationship with Sales Managers and Supplier RepresentativesMaintain weekly receipt lists and ensure they are accurate and up to dateCreate and manage a process for the sales representatives to request POS Effectively process, notify, and or distribute Fed Ex and UPS shipmentsDevelop a process for communicating with Marketing Managers on in-bound and out-bound merchandiseCommunicate with Marketing Managers regarding monthly POS programs and allocationsAssist Sales Team with Sales Meeting preparation as neededEstablish and maintain regular, consistent information flow regarding POS programs involving suppliers and sales department managementDemonstrate company loyalty Cooperate with and assist peer and other dependents in attaining each other s objectivesPerform other related duties as assignedAdditional Primary ResponsibilitiesMinimum Qualifications1 year of experienceOperate a forklift or other warehouse equipment safelyKnowledge with modern warehousing practices and methodsPhysical DemandsPhysical demands include a considerable amount of time walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stoopingMust be able to frequently lift, lower, push, carry, or pull up to 48 poundsMust be able to regularly sit and operate machinery such as a forklift, pallet jacks, and battery change stationsWork may involve repetitive motions, working at varying heights, and exposure to warehouse environmental conditionsExtended hours, overtime, weekends, and peak‑season schedules may be requiredEEO StatementSouthern Glazer's Wine and Spirits, an Affirmative Action/EEO employer, prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type and provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
