Project Engineer

Title: Project EngineerLocation: Washington, DC / Maryland / Virginia (Office-based with occasional site visits)Job status: Non- ExemptSalary: $75,000-$90,000Position SummaryAnchor Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of heavy civil construction projects. This role works closely with Project Managers, field teams, subcontractors, and clients to keep projects safe, organized, on schedule, and within budget.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport project planning, scheduling, documentation, and contract administrationManage submittals, RFIs, permits, and project closeout documentsTrack quantities, invoices, project costs, and production progressCoordinate with field crews, superintendents, subcontractors, and vendorsConduct site visits to ensure quality, compliance, and safety standardsAssist with change orders, project reporting, and project meetingsQualificationsBachelor degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred2+ years of Project Engineer experience (or 6+ years of relevant construction experience)Heavy civil construction experience preferredProficiency with Microsoft Office; Primavera P6 and AutoCAD experience a plusStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsValid driver license requiredBenefitsPaid holidays, 401(k), medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, EAP, and voluntary coverage options.About AnchorSince 1985, Anchor construction Corporation has been building the infrastructure communities rely on every day.
