Description:Not just another boring attorney role ---- a key role at a top tier award winning personal injury law firmIf you want to know about the requirements for this role, read on for all the relevant information.What does it look like:Case intake & screening· Evaluate new matters for liability, causation, damages, venue/jurisdiction, and collectability· Identify standard-of-care issues and potential defendants (providers, facilities, corporate entities)· Set realistic client expectations and guide decisions on proceeding or decliningEarly case development· Direct and manage comprehensive medical record collection · Build chronology, identify deviations from standard of care, and frame causation theory· Coordinate pre-suit requirements as applicable Expert strategy· Select, retain, and manage medical experts · Prepare experts for reports, affidavits, depositions, and trial testimony· Drive case value through disciplined expert and damages developmentLitigation management· Draft and file pleadings; manage discovery strategy; handle written discovery and motion practice· Take/defend depositions · Prepare for mediation/settlement conferences and negotiate from a position of strength· Build trial themes, exhibits, expert outlines, jury instructions, and trial briefsClient experience· Maintain consistent, compassionate communication throughout long case timelines· Explain complex medical/legal issues clearly and document all guidanceCompensation and Benefits package:$130 – 160k Comprehensive benefit offeringsMedical, dental, and visionFlexible Time Off401k with matchDog friendly campusRequirements:What do I need to bring to the table:Juris Doctor (JD) and active license in ColoradoMinimum of 2 years experience in litigation and/or medical malpractice-- requiredProven ability to manage cases with minimal supervisionDemonstratable trial experience in complex casesExcellent negotiation skills – pushing back as needed xaygatp Highly organized with strong case management abilitiesWritten advocacy You will only be a fit if you exemplify our Core Values: Committed – fearless, driven, accountable, resilient Mindful – measured, prudent, critical thinking, results oriented problem solvers Agile – continually improve, love to learn, flexible, creative Collaborative – kind, authentic, fun, compassionate, team player who loves to win We are serious about our Core Values and what it takes to serve our client base....
