Senior Structural Engineer
Engineering with Purpose. Solutions That Stand Strong. This position provides support to field personnel via development of structural calculations and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) drawings:1.) To create original designs2.) Convert competitive designs and specifications to pro-Hilti designs and specifications3.) Provide technical answers to questions related to the Installation Systems (IS) portfolio.All done in order to facilitate IS sales in helping to achieve planned sales growth.What You'll doSupport Field personnel via structural calculations and CAD drawings for Installation Systems (IS) as well as field visits to key jobs, customers, and specifiersMaintain the accuracy and integrity of published technical documentationInvestigate new applications for products by gathering information and coordinating testing and analysisPromote Services & Support initiative driven by HNA & HAG Installation Systems (IS) Business UnitAdditional duties as assignedWhat You'll BringBachelor's Degree in Engineering required - Architectural or Civil (Structural Option) or Mechanical Engineering discipline preferredMaster's Degree in Engineering preferred - Architectural or Civil (Structural Option) or Mechanical Engineering discipline preferredMinimum 5 years of engineering experience requiredMinimum 2 years of applicable Hilti-related work experience preferredProfessional Engineering (PE) License requiredWorking knowledge of industry related construction methods and practices requiredWorking knowledge of AutoCAD, Inventor, and REVIT requiredProficiency in structural analysis programs (i.e. RISA, Mathcad, STAAD) requiredAptitude to read and understand blueprints, construction specifications, and documents requiredAbility to identify, analyze, and solve technical problems requiredAbility to communicate effectively with engineers, architects, contractors, and Hilti personnel through verbal and written response requiredAbility to effectively use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint requiredAbility to organize and utilize large amounts of reference information both in hardcopy and electronic files requiredWorking knowledge of Hilti IS portfolio or competitive cold formed steel support systems preferredWhat's In It for You In addition to a competitive base salary and bonus potential, we offer a robust benefits package including a generous paid time off policy that includes vacation, personal days, health & wellness, and 2 days per year to give back in your local community, paid family leave, educational reimbursement, 401(k) matching, medical/dental/vision coverage, and a variety of other benefits to fit the needs of our employees.We will give you the tools you need to succeed through hands-on integration training and will support your continued professional development through ongoing training and mentoring, targeted leadership programs, and opportunities for international assignments in any of the 120+ countries in which we operate.Why Hilti Hilti is a global leader in construction innovation, with more than 34,000 team members across 120 countries.
