Job Title: Software Developer (Systems Software)Location: On-site – Chantilly, VAClearance Required: TS/SCI with Full Scope PolygraphCompany: Quantum Science Solutions(QSS) Rate: OpenPosition OverviewQSS is seeking an experienced Software Developer (Systems Software) with proven expertise in cloud-based software development, system architecture, and full-stack engineering. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in AWS environments, database development, CI/CD automation, and Agile delivery practices to support complex enterprise solutions.Key Responsibilities• Design and develop cloud-based software systems leveraging AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.• Implement solution architectures that are scalable, secure, and highly available.• Build, configure, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS Code Pipeline.• Develop backend solutions using Java, Python, Node.js, C#, or Go.• Design, implement, and maintain relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB) including schema design, data modeling, and data migration.• Create and maintain front-end applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.• Work within an Agile development environment to deliver secure, high-quality software.• Integrate APIs and ensure smooth communication between distributed systems.• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform to provision and manage resources.• Perform unit, integration, and performance testing to validate software quality.• Deploy applications to production environments with minimal downtime.• Implement monitoring and logging solutions to maintain system health and identify performance issues.• Conduct ongoing maintenance, bug fixes, and performance optimizations.• Maintain technical documentation and perform knowledge transfer for long-term support.Required Skills & Experience• AWS Cloud expertise (EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB).• Strong background in software architecture for secure, scalable applications.• Proficiency in Java, Python, Node.js, C#, or Go.• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodePipeline).• Front-end development skills with React, Angular, or Vue.js.• Database design and development experience for both relational and NoSQL platforms.• Agile software development experience.Desired Skills• AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer, DevOps Engineer, Data Engineer).• Experience working with automated testing tools and building test automation scripts.• Familiarity with secure government or enterprise environments.Education Requirement• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred.• Equivalent professional experience considered.Preferred Certifications• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional• AWS Certified Developer – Associate• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – ProfessionalEmployee Benefits• Competitive Compensation & Incentives• Premium Medical, Dental & Vision Plans• Generous PTO and Paid Holidays• 401(k) with Company Match
