REMOTE Network Operations Engineer

Optomi, in partnership with a leader in the telecommunications industry, is seeking an experienced Circuit/Transport Technician. This individual will work fully remote and have experience in SONET and DACS. Responsibilities: Perform advanced analysis to identify and resolve complex, chronic, or high-impact issues within the transport network.Develop and deliver technical documentation, including bulletins, job aids, operational procedures, and process improvements.Troubleshoot and support multiple transport platforms, including SONET and Digital Access Cross-Connect (DACS) systems (e.g., Titan 5500, 532L).Interpret and analyze Circuit Layout Records (CLR) and complex network schematics to support design and troubleshooting efforts.Apply strong understanding of electrical transport technologies, including T3, T1, and DS0.Provide technical direction and guidance to field operations teams, contractors, and installation/repair personnel.Qualifications:Extensive experience with the architecture, interoperability, operations, maintenance, and lifecycle management of transport network services.Subject matter expertise in SONET and DACS, including associated technologies, configurations, and lower-level applications.Strong knowledge of Element Management Systems (EMS), Operational Support Systems (OSS), network inventory, and provisioning tools.Proven ability to read and interpret Circuit Layout Records (CLR) and complex network schematics/designs.
