Software Development Engineer IIOverviewWe're seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer II with strong data engineering experience to help build scalable, cloud-native systems that power compliance automation. In this role, you'll work on modern AWS-based architectures, developing data pipelines, backend services, and analytics solutions that support critical regulatory and operational needs.This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing, high-impact engineering team tackling complex global challenges.What You'll DoBuild and maintain data pipelines, backend services, and analytics componentsDevelop and implement scalable ETL/ELT processes and data warehouse schemasDesign and support event-driven architectures using AWS servicesBuild APIs, workflow orchestration services, and backend systems for internal applicationsEnsure high standards of data quality, validation, monitoring, and observabilityImplement secure data handling practices, including encryption, access controls, and audit loggingExtend systems to support new requirements, integrations, and regionsPartner with engineering and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions aligned with business needsParticipate in code reviews, sprint planning, and ongoing technical discussionsSupport production systems through monitoring, debugging, and continuous improvementWhat You BringBasic Qualifications3+ years of data engineering experience (data modeling, pipelines, data warehousing)3+ years of professional software development experience building production systemsStrong SQL skills with experience working on large, complex datasetsProficiency in Python, Java, or TypeScriptExperience with AWS services such as:Data: Glue, Redshift, AthenaCompute/Integration: Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, DynamoDBExperience across the full software development lifecycle (design, testing, deployment, operations)Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related fieldPreferred QualificationsExperience building event-driven systems (Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS/SNS, etc.)Familiarity with serverless architectures on AWSExperience with infrastructure as code (CDK, CloudFormation, or similar)Exposure to compliance, regulatory systems, or complex multi-region environmentsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work in evolving, fast-paced environmentsWhy JoinWork on high-impact systems that support global regulatory and operational needsContribute to a growing and strategically important area of the businessBuild modern, cloud-native solutions using AWS at scaleOpportunity to own meaningful features and deliver measurable impactCollaborate with a strong, mission-driven engineering teamEligibility Requirement (Export Control)This position may be subject to U.S. export control regulations.
