Additional Information About the RoleSt. Louis Children's Hospital has a full-time opportunity for an Audiology Technician. In this role, you will assist our team of Audiologists in testing hearing for pediatric patients. Since 2005, St. Louis Children?s has been designated as a Magnet hospital for nursing excellence from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).Preferred QualificationsRole PurposeManage children behaviors, organize and maintain data and equipment for programs/projects, educate parents/patients for the audiology and cochlear implant programs.ResponsibilitiesManage patient behaviors for Conditioned Play Audiometry and Visual Reinforcement Audiometry while in- servicing parents/patients on care and maintenance on devises Trouble shoot audiologic equipment--arrange for repair/replacement as necessary while maintaining inventory of supplies for clinical areas (booths, dispensary) Oversee/Document toy cleaning and infection control TO ensure that all equipment and instruments are cleaned and kept in good repair. Responsible for all maintenance, inventory and dispensing of hearing aids and cochlear implants.
