Physical Therapy Aide

Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs our Physical Therapist, you will help patients rebuild or maintain their physical wellbeing so they can function at their best level, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life.Every day you will perform initial evaluations, develop and update individualized plans of care, and provide a variety of direct treatments. You will be expected to consistently meet patient care productivity standards, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and families, and promote a positive customer service environment.To be successful in this role, you must possess strong age-appropriate competency skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative, patient-centered approach to care.Manages their time effectively throughout the day to facilitate efficiency within the department.Under the direction of the Physical Therapist, provides appropriate assistance in groups/concurrent sessions and individual sessions.Assists with electronic charge reconciliation and communicates discrepancies to management accurately and timely.Assists with orientation and in-service training for newly hired aides (staff) and volunteers.Assist therapists with implementation of multi-disciplinary plan of care for each patient.Develops skills that enhance and align with the department clinical and business development through proper use of new technology for accurate and appropriate assistance.Job RequirementsRequiredHigh School GED General Studies, upon hire orHigh School Graduate General Studies, upon hireBasic Life Support - CPR, upon hirePreferred* Six months patient care experience.Where You'll WorkLocated in the Phoenix, Ariz., suburb of Chandler, the Chandler Regional Medical Center is a 429-bed, not-for-profit hospital with more than 2,600 team members and almost 1,000 doctors on staff representing all major specialties. Since 1991, Dignity Health's Community Health Improvement Grants program has provided $91 million to nearly 3,800 health projects, focusing on vulnerable and underserved populations.
