Our leading tech client is looking for the next Sourcing Manager, Professional Services Contractor! Core ResponsibilitiesLead sourcing and negotiations for large professional services engagements.Deal sizes expected to range from $500K up to $5M–$10M.Focus areas include:Negotiating commercial termsEstablishing MSAs with large consulting vendorsRunning RFP processesDriving strategic sourcing initiativesLess operational/high-volume than the Coordinator role (which typically handles deals $500K and below).Emphasis on strategic negotiations and supplier strategy.Category FocusPrimary professional services categories include:ConsultingFinance / AdvisoryBPOIdeal candidates should have:Experience negotiating large professional services deals, particularly with consulting firms.Background working with consulting firms or sourcing consulting/professional services engagements.2–3+ years of dedicated professional services category experience (not just occasional exposure).Experience structuring and negotiating complex SOWs, including:Time & MaterialsFixed PriceGainshare / shared modelsAbility to provide strategic vendor guidance, including:Benchmarking vendor contractsRunning multi-vendor RFPsM&A ExperienceNice to have but not the primary focus.Team initially considered separate roles for M&A and Professional Services, but currently only approved for one role.Some M&A exposure is helpful as the team supports vendor integration during acquisitions.Location / Work ModelBay Area basedHybrid expectation.Onsite presence preferred for:Vendor presentationsStakeholder meetingsStrategic discussionsNot necessarily required in office every week due to space constraints, but must be able to attend key meetings in person.
