General Laborer - Seasonal

DescriptionThe General Laborer will be responsible for carrying out the day-to-day duties of the production lines, including various manual labor tasks. In addition to day-to-day production line tasks. General Laborers may be asked to sweep or clean the shop floors, assemble cardboard boxes, move materials and supplies, as well as other tasks to support operations on the shop floor as assigned by the shift Supervisor for Osmundson Mfg. Co.Job DutiesParticipates in the completion of the following Production Processes: setups, line runs, paint and pack, general warehousing, cleaning, basic quality control, operating equipment as required, assisting other departments as requestedMonitors Company safety under the direction of the SupervisorProvide support to the Production Line Lead to keep employees informed on those matters that affect the successful performance of their jobs as it relates to qualityEnsures that all activity related to this role is accomplished ethicallyMaintains in good order, all records and files assigned to this function and ensures the safekeeping and confidentiality of all company records including computer informationMaintains the working area in a neat, orderly, and hazard-free conditionProtects the organization’s value by keeping information confidentialRequirements6-months of employment experience Ability to lift 25 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionallyAbility to work on-siteAbility to understand basic English as necessary to react to the demands of a factory floorThe sense of being able to see, hear, and have the full power of speech is requiredBody movements include walking, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending, and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, hands, and fingersExperience in manufacturing is preferred but not required
