Your work will be varied and innovative by nature.Job SummaryTeledyne FLIR is looking for an engineering professional to participate in activities associated with drone development and production testing. This person must be a detail oriented, self-directed individual, and able to operate with a high degree of autonomy. This person will participate in a test program associated with both fielded and developmental military drones. We expect this person to have previous experience with test activities.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesDrone flight testing of mature and development products including test methods developmentDrone software regression testing – extensive test programSupport and maintain drone fleetSafely conduct drone flight operationsSupport production activities and personnelManage test inventoryInteract with internal/external customers and suppliers for hardware/software supportUpdate and maintain product manualsSome travel may be required to test sites, approximately 5-10%Job QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical of Computer Engineering or similar field1-5 years of drone flight testing and engineering experienceFAA part 107 qualified or equivalent pilot rating a plusFamiliar with computer programming and software development methodsWilling to work in agile environment with flexible daily tasking based on program needsBasic understanding of quad rotor physicsMust have critical thinking skills and be able to make risk-based decisionsExcellent communication skillsApplicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.About Teledyne FLIR DefenseJoin Teledyne FLIR Defense, where we're dedicated to supporting critical missions with an exciting range of cutting-edge technologies.
