Cybersecurity AnalystRemote / Work fro home - based out of Chicago, ILContract to Hire | 40 hours per weekW2 only / No C2CCDW is seeking a hands-on Cybersecurity Analyst to support and enhance security operations across enterprise and manufacturing environments. This role focuses on threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, security monitoring, and automation initiatives that strengthen overall security posture and reduce operational risk.ResponsibilitiesInvestigate and respond to security alerts and incidents across endpoints, identity systems, networks, cloud platforms, and email environmentsSupport incident response activities including triage, containment, recovery, and post-incident analysisManage vulnerability remediation efforts, risk prioritization, and reportingBuild and tune security detections to improve visibility and reduce false positivesPerform threat hunting and root cause analysis using logs, telemetry, and threat intelligenceSupport security tools across endpoint, identity, network, cloud, email, and vulnerability management domainsDevelop automation and process improvements using PowerShell, Python, APIs, or similar technologiesCollaborate with IT teams, security partners, and business stakeholders to coordinate remediation effortsContribute to compliance initiatives aligned with NIST, ISO, SOX, and internal audit requirementsRequired Qualifications3–6 years of experience in cybersecurity, security operations, incident response, or security engineeringExperience investigating and responding to security incidentsExperience with vulnerability management programs and security operations processesKnowledge of endpoint, identity, cloud, email, and network security technologiesExperience working with managed security providers and external security partnersScripting or automation experience with PowerShell, Python, APIs, or similar toolsWorking knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and NIST Cybersecurity FrameworkStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting manufacturing, OT, or ICS environmentsExperience building security automation and orchestration workflowsCloud security experienceSecurity certifications such as Security+, CySA+, GCIH, SC-200, AZ-500, or equivalentAdditional DetailsParticipation in an on-call rotation requiredUp to 15% travelOpportunity to play a key role in maturing security operations, improving incident response, and driving measurable risk reduction across a global organization.
