Finley is level 2 maternal and neonatal center. We manage mag sulfate, insulin drips, foley and Pitocin inductions. While we do try to transfer out anyone less than 34 weeks gestation, we may not be able to and must deliver them on site and then transfer infant out after stabilization.How does Finley Hospital handle emergencies/drills? Conduct emergency drills every month, focusing on both maternal and neonatal sides. Newborn codes are usually handled by our own staff/providers. Other emergencies that may arise can be facilitated with the help of the Rapid Response team and Medical Emergency Team.Will they work with unit budgeting or department financial responsibilities? They will be given visibility, but director will input information.Are there dedicated charge nurses/resource nurses? No, charge nurses take patient assignments too. There are many nurses on the unit that can help in many ways/facets.Strengths/Challenges on the unit? Amazing teamwork. Self-sufficient with most staffing needs on day-to-day basis. Exceptional patient care. Family Feeling for both patients and team members.After hour support expectations?
