CDL B Driver
Job DescriptionSummary: Drive and operate a straight tank or box truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). May be required to load and unload truck. Requires commercial (Class B) driver’s license.Essential duties of Position:Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order. Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations. Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned. Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehiclesPerform the end-of-day loading and fueling procedures on a daily basis. Comply with the Superior Family of Companies’ safety & health policies and procedures. Report all incidents, injuries, illnesses, near misses and unsafe conditions immediately. Participate in process improvements, investigations, and corrective actions. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed:The capability of maneuvering a fifty-five (55) gallon drum of product from the truck to the customer’s desired location, with a drum cart and the approximate weight being between 300 – 600 pounds. Ability to pump out product from client location to tank truckThe ability to climb in and out of a trailer numerous time a day. Qualifications:High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. One to three years verifiable related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Pass required drug test and physical capabilities test. Possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License – Class B or A, including current medical card, and equipment certifications as by State and/or Federal regulations. DOT qualified.
