Sr. Electrical Control Systems Engineer (P.E.)

Overview In this fully remote role, you will lead Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls projects for municipal and industrial facilities as aSenior Electrical Control Systems Engineer (P.E.). You will guide design, power system studies, and automation efforts from concept to commissioning, acting as Engineer of Record for Arizona deliverables. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant systems while mentoring junior engineers and performing QA/QC reviews. This position offers high-impact infrastructure work within a collaborative consulting environment. You will shape projects through technical leadership, delivering robust control solutions and scalable ResponsibilitiesLead electrical, instrumentation, and controls design projectsPerform power system studies (short circuit, coordination, arc flash, load flow, motor starting analyses)Develop and review P&IDs, control narratives, wiring diagrams, I/O lists, and related design docsDesign PLC, HMI, and SCADA network architecturesServe as Engineer of Record and provide sealed Arizona design deliverablesConduct QA/QC reviews and mentor junior engineersSupport construction, startup, commissioning, RFIs, and submittal reviews Key requirementsBachelor's degree in Electrical EngineeringActive Professional Engineer (P.E.) license5+ years of electrical and/or controls engineering experienceStrong NEC knowledge and AutoCAD Electrical proficiencyExperience with PLC and HMI/SCADA systemsleadershipmentoringcross-functional collaborationNEC knowledgeAutoCAD ElectricalPLC/HMI/SCADA
