At BIP, we endeavor to do both.Position SummaryAs a Tax Advisor at BIP Wealth, you will play a pivotal role in improving the financial lives of our High-Net-Worth families; helping them manage risk and stewarding wealth for future generations. Your expertise in financial reporting, tax planning & compliance, investment accounting, and tax analysis will complement BIP’s estate planning, financial planning, and investment management expertise. The ideal candidate is a smart, tenacious, detail-oriented, kind, and hard-working individual who thrives in a team-oriented environment.Responsibilities IncludeTax Planning and Compliance: Coordinate and collaborate with external tax professionals to develop tax strategies and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.Tax Preparation and Filing: Prepare and file tax returns for select clients in BIP’s Baseball Division and coordinate those clients’ quarterly estimated payments.Review tax returns, including individual, trust, and corporate returns. Identify tax planning opportunities and advise on tax-efficient strategies.Tax Analysis and Reporting: Run projections to evaluate High-Net-Worth families’ current tax situation and project future taxes. Prepare reports and presentations for meetings, investment reviews, and other decision-making purposes. Provide insights and recommendations to help optimize families’ tax position.Estate and Succession Planning: Collaborate with BIP Wealth’s Estate Planning Advisor, estate planning attorneys, and trust administrators to support estate and succession planning efforts.Risk Management: Identify and mitigate tax risks by regular evaluation of families’ changing suite of financial investments, trusts, and business structures.Collaborative Support: Work closely with other professionals, such as BIP Personal Wealth Advisors, estate attorneys, and outside tax professionals, to provide comprehensive financial support for High-Net-Worth families.Professional Development: Stay updated on accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry trends relevant to family office operations.Tax Accountant QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related field.3+ years of public accounting or equivalent industry experience.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex tax issues.Steller communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with High-Net-Worth individuals, family members, and external professionals.Ability to handle confidential information with utmost discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism.Demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality tax services with meticulous attention to detail.CPA certification is preferred but not required.
