This role is responsible for building and improving HR processes to support the company's growth and evolving organizational needs.The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who can operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced environment. This position will partner closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to drive hiring, establish HR infrastructure, and ensure a strong and compliant HR foundation across the organization.This is a fully on-site role (5 days/week) at our Irvine, CA office. Candidates must also be available to adjust work hours as needed to facilitate collaboration with our Korea-based headquarters (KST). This role requires up to 10% travel as business needs dictate.Key ResponsibilitiesTalent Acquisition & Workforce PlanningLead and manage full-cycle recruitment across all functions, from role definition through onboardingPartner with leadership to identify hiring needs and develop workforce plans aligned with business goalsDevelop and execute sourcing strategies to attract high-quality candidatesManage external recruitment agencies and vendors, including performance tracking and cost managementHR Operations & AdministrationOwn and manage day-to-day HR operations including employee records, documentation, and HR systemsSupport payroll processes, benefits administration, and employee data management using ADP or similar platformsMaintain accurate and organized HR documentation for internal tracking and reporting purposesEmployee Lifecycle ManagementOversee the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, performance management, and off-boardingPartner with managers to support employee engagement, retention, and development initiativesEnsure a seamless and positive employee experience across all stages of the lifecyclePolicies, Compliance & Risk ManagementDevelop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in compliance with federal, California state, and local labor lawsEnsure compliance with employment regulations including EEO, wage and hour laws, and workplace requirementsSupport internal audits and maintain proper documentation and reporting standardsHR Systems & Process ImprovementBuild and improve scalable HR processes, systems, and workflows to support company growthEvaluate and implement HR tools such as ATS and HRIS platforms as neededContinuously identify and act on opportunities to improve HR operations and hiring processesEmployer Branding & Organizational SupportSupport employer branding initiatives to strengthen talent attraction and company positioningPartner with leadership on organizational planning, headcount strategy, and team structureServe as a key HR partner across departments, supporting cross-functional communication and alignmentQualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field5+ years of progressive HR experience encompassing both recruiting and HR operationsStrong understanding of full-cycle recruiting, HR operations, and employment law with particular depth in California labor lawDemonstrated experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems including ADP and ATS platformsExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsHigh level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information with discretionBilingual fluency in English and Korean (written and verbal) requiredAbility to travel up to 10% as business needs dictatePreferredExperience in the food & beverage or CPG industryExperience building HR processes within a startup or scaling organizationHR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR is a plusWork EnvironmentThis is a fully on-site position based at our Irvine, CA office, Monday through Friday. The role may also require schedule flexibility to support collaboration with HYH's Korea headquarters across time zones.Compensation & BenefitsThe base salary range for this position is $110,000 – $114,000 per year, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and demonstrated expertise.In accordance with California law (SB 1162), HYH America provides pay transparency for all open positions.
