Cashier / Catering Attendant

Hourly WageISS offers a competitive compensation, with an hourly pay range $22.50 $23.00 Work HoursThe work hours for this position are approximately Mon-Fri , 5:00 am - 2:00 pm . A Cashier / Catering role blends financial responsibility with hands-on food service and event execution. You act as both the "face" of the business for transactions and a key team member in preparing and serving bulk meal orders for special events. Core Responsibilities Transaction Management: Process cash, credit, and electronic payments accurately using a Point of Sale (POS) system. This includes providing receipts, issuing change, and reconciling the cash drawer at the end of shifts. Customer Hospitality: Greet guests, answer menu questions, and offer recommendations or upselling to enhance their dining experience. Event Setup & Execution: Assist with the coordination and implementation of catering events. This often involves setting up tables, linens, dishes, and buffet lines at various locations. Food Service: Serve hot and cold items to guests while maintaining proper food temperatures and sanitation standards. Logistics & Preparation: Help prepare bulk food items (e.g., salads, meats, baked goods), package orders for delivery, and ensure all necessary supplies are ready for off-site events. Maintenance: Keep service areas, checkout stations, and event spaces clean and organized before, during, and after service. Key Skills & Qualifications Customer Service: Ability to remain professional and friendly in fast-paced or high volume environments. Mathematical Accuracy: Strong skills in calculating bills and handling monetary transactions without errors. Physical Stamina: Capacity to stand for long periods (often 6+ hours) and lift equipment or supplies weighing up to 40 lbs. Flexibility: Willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Attention to Detail: Meticulous tracking of inventory, transactions, and food safety logs HSEQ Compliance: All employees must adhere to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. This includes following safety protocols, maintaining environmental responsibility, and upholding quality standards in all tasks.
