Cloud/Networking Engineer MMK, NC, SLK W2 Position Must haves: 3-5 years minimum Network engineering configuration and troubleshooting apps in AWS AWS Cloud and On-Prem networking concepts and security Traffic routing, CDN, Edge technologies (Akamai is best case) Observability tools Splunk and/or Datadog Jenkins Nice to haves: GoLang language Description Job Description The Role We are looking for a customer-focused Software Engineer to support the continued growth of our team. You will be part of a core engineering group building and operating enterprise-grade, containerized services that power our authentication and authorization platforms. These systems are foundational to web security and access control, and are designed for high availability, scalability, and performance in demanding enterprise environments. The Expertise and Skills You Bring · Willingness and ability to learn new technologies, tools, and engineering practices to support shared platforms and internal customers · Hands-on experience with or exposure to CI/CD tools and pipelines (such as Jenkins), with an interest in improving automated build and deployment workflows · Basic understanding of networking concepts and security fundamentals, including perimeter security and DMZ environments, or a strong desire to learn in this area · Experience contributing to service-based architectures, such as microservices, containerized applications, and/or serverless technologies, in a team environment · Comfort working in fast-paced, iterative development environments with guidance from more senior engineers · Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, or experience developing and running applications in cloud environments (preferred) · Exposure to traffic routing, CDN, or edge technologies (such as Akamai) is a plus · Exposure to monitoring, logging, or observability tools such as Datadog or Splunk is a plus, with interest in learning operational best practices sesha@hclglobal.com
