Elementary Classroom Teacher

Job Summary:The K-5 Classroom Teacher is responsible for creating a supportive and engaging learning environment for elementary students. This role focuses on fostering academic growth, social development, and positive behavior while meeting curriculum standards and individual student needs.Key Responsibilities:Create lesson plans to teach core subjects such as reading, science, and math, aligned with curriculum standardsInstruct students as a whole class, in small groups, and individually to support differentiated learningTeach students how to interact respectfully and effectively with others, promoting social and emotional developmentObserve and assess students regularly to evaluate their abilities, strengths, and areas for growthGrade assignments and provide constructive feedback to support student progressWork one-on-one with students to help them overcome specific learning challengesPrepare students for standardized tests through targeted instruction and practiceCommunicate regularly with parents or guardians about student progress, achievements, and concernsDevelop, implement, and enforce classroom rules to encourage appropriate behavior and a positive learning environmentSkills and Competencies:Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needsStrong organizational and time-management skillsPatience, creativity, and a passion for working with childrenCollaborative mindset when working with colleagues and familiesWork Environment:* Classroom-based setting in an elementary school* Regular interaction with students, staff, and families
