Hiring DepartmentUndergraduate AdmissionsJob DescriptionThis position will be based close to Southern Illinois or surrounding area and will perform significant recruiting and admissions activities throughout selected Illinois and Iowa markets. Responsibilities include meeting with prospective students, attending college fairs, scheduling high school visits, coordinating special events, collaborating with alumni ambassadors, and working closely with the Chicago-based admissions counselor to support statewide recruitment needs. Occasional travel to other areas of the U.S. may be required.Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent Missouri S&T at college fairs, high school visits, community events, and recruitment programs throughout Central Illinois and IowaAdvise and assist prospective students by explaining admissions requirements, scholarships and financial aid, academic programs, and campus lifeTravel regularly within assigned Illinois and Iowa markets, including some evening and weekend commitmentsBuild strong relationships with prospective students and families, high school counselors, community partners, and campus stakeholdersManage recruitment territories by utilizing data to plan travel, making admissions decision, and maintaining consistent communication with studentsCoordinate closely with the admissions counselors within assigned territory to align recruitment strategies, share insights, and support event needsEngage and collaborate with alumni ambassadors to strengthen their involvement in recruitment activities and enhance the university's presence within assigned territoryPlan and host special recruitment events for prospective students, both regionally and on campus; Collaborate with faculty, staff, alumni, and industry partners to coordinate logisticsRecord communication with prospective students through electronic data entry systemsPerform other duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsA Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessaryAnticipated Hiring RangeThe anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $21.00-$23.50 hourly.Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
