Hemodialysis Technologist

A health services network in New York City is looking to add a new Hemodialysis Technologist to join their team in Brooklyn. In this role, the Hemodialysis Technologist will be responsible for assisting in patient care and maintaining hemodialysis equipment in the Hemodialysis Unit.About the Opportunity:Schedule: Monday to Friday (with alternate Saturdays)Hours: 7am to 3:30pm (35 hours per week with a 1-hour lunch)Setting: Hospital-basedResponsibilities:Performing patient care activities, including vital signs and weight recordingDeveloping rapport with patients and familiesAssisting with the maintenance and repair of hemodialysis equipmentTraining personnel in equipment useMaintaining infection control and quality assurance logsPerforming other duties, as neededQualifications:Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Dialysis TechnicianHigh School Diploma or equivalentBONENT or CCHT certifiedBasic Life Support / CPR certificationGood interpersonal and written communication skillsExperience with Fresenius 2008 T machinesTechnical skills in Equipment MaintenanceDesired Qualifications:Completion of PCT training courseTechnical proficiency with Dialysis Equipment
