Flight Software Engineering Summer 2026 Intern
As a Flight Software Engineering Intern, you will work directly with Reditus Space’s engineering team to design, develop, and test the flight software of the ENOS vehicle. You’ll gain hands-on experience with the full lifecycle of flight software development, from initial design through integrated spacecraft Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) testing.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and test embedded flight software for satellite systemsImplement telemetry and command handling protocolsDebug and troubleshoot flight software issuesCollaborate with engineers to define and implement flight software interfacesMaintain clear software documentation and utilize version control processesSupport system-level testing and validation of flight software componentsQualificationsCurrently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field (senior undergraduate or graduate level)Strong programming skills in C/C++Understanding of embedded systems and real-time operating systems (RTOS)Knowledge of spacecraft systems and operationsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExperience with version control systems (e.g., Git)Experience with flight software frameworks (e.g., NASA cFS, F Prime)
